Make sure you prep your ingredients before you begin cooking. Peel the garlic and chop and discard the top and bottom parts of the green chillies.
Using a pan, roast the green chillies till they become a little brown, then drizzle the chillies with 1 teaspoon of oil. Add in garlic, turmeric and salt. Fry the ingredients for a minute to combine them well.
Next, add all the ingredients to a grinder. Then add lemon juice or vinegar and grind everything together to form a coarse paste.
Well, that’s it! Empty your chutney in an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. Serve it as a side chutney for idlis, dosas, samosas, and more. You can even add it to your soups and fritter batters.
