Pure honey comes directly from honey bees and not factories. It is also called the Nectar of the Gods!
Meghalaya is home to many flora, both alpine and temperate, supplying pollen and nectar. Rainfall and cool climatic conditions also affect the flowers growing every season which gives the honey a unique identity.
Zizira's wildflower honey is pure and raw. It's obtained from the sun-soaked pollen and nectar collected by bees in the summer months. It's color & flavor depends directly on the source (wildflowers in this case) of the nectar.
We sourced the honey from Thad village in Ri Bhoi, Meghalaya. It has a dark golden color. You will love the smooth consistency and the rich sweet & warm aftertaste that lingers in your taste buds.
What makes this honey unique?
The beekeepers plant the flowers that the bees love or place the hive in a habitat filled with wildflowers. Hence the flavor of this honey comes from the wildflowers growing naturally around the bee's nest.
Local folks from Meghalaya love this honey for its delightful taste and for its multiple all-around uses.
Zizira Raw Honey is unprocessed, pure natural goodness in a jar. It is tested free of externally added sugar.
With numerous health benefits used since ancient times. It’s like having your own little genie in a bottle.
Savour the Nectar of the Gods and give your taste buds a divine experience.
Raw honey comes from beehives, the best and purest form of honey.
They have a thick, cloudy and creamy appearance. They normally don't have a shiny, polished texture. They may contain bee pollen, and bits of honeycomb.
Raw honey might crystallize overtime. This means that you may noticed that your honey turned into small sugar crystals. This is because while the beekeeper extracts the honey, small pieces of hive or bee pollen will remain in the honey that starts the crystallization process. These are safe to consume. If you prefer liquid honey, warm the honey bottle in a water container. Be sure to heat it to not more the 110°, else you might lose all the valuable nutrients in the process.
Pasteurized or Processed honey, on the other hand, is filtered for the perfect looks. But you lose all the nutrients and health benefits you can get from it.
Whether you are preparing a marinade or topping a cheesecake, Zizira wildflower honey is a seamless compliment. Whichever way you use this honey, it will tingle your taste buds.
